AstraNet Systems (Cambridge) Ltd, based in the high technology region of Cambridge UK, is a specialist supplier to the spectroscopy market. With many decades of experience in traditional spectroscopy AstraNet was founded in 2001 to take advantage of the latest developments in fibre-optics, high resolution CCD array detectors and long-life, pulsed light sources. Using these new tools and their long experience in UV/Visible and NIR spectroscopy AstraNet has designed and developed a novel range of fibre optic coupled CCD array spectrometers.

Many successful installations have involved the development of special sampling accessories, these range from those capable of handling discreet liquid samples as small as 2µl up to the measurement of many litres using immersion probe techniques or sample streams using a range of laboratory and industrial flow-cells; from simple small objects to those with large and awkward shapes; from hot or aggressive samples to those moving through a process on a production line; from remote, continuous monitoring to manual spot-checks or quality control.

Little knowledge of spectroscopy is required as AstraNet offer an integrated and optimised hardware solution for each application, while the firmware and software developed by AstraNet ensure that the user interface is quick to learn and easy to use for both expert and novice operators.
